Introducing Glitch.FM Blogging Staff: Josh Wilken a.k.a. Binary Ally!

As you may have noticed by today's earlier post - we've been joined by a new Glitch.FM Blogger: Josh Wilken - a guru of Ableton Live, who'll be posting updates on the dirty, filthy gritty side of glitchy music: production and music technology.

We've been following him on Twitter (@binaryally) for quite some time, and decided that we should invite him on board.

Residing in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada - this friend of binary is a self-described "gearslut" and an "Apple fanboy" (as probably a healthy dose of our readers/listeners are as well). He's also the editor for the well-known Ableton Live production blog @AbletonTweets (twitter: @AbletonTweets). This aside, he is also quite multi-talented and musical outside the realm of strange computational devices that make bleepy sounds, being actively involved in bands as both a guitarist and bassist.

Introducing Glitch.FM Blogging Staff: Mariusz Szymczak a.k.a. Doktor Krank!

We're going ALL OUT here on Glitch.FM - sweeping up the most talented people we can get our grubby paws on who are involved in glitch music culture.

With that said, we are super excited to introduce to you yet another addition to the Glitch.FM Blogging Staff - the notorious Mariusz Szymczak, better known as the good Doktor Krank - keeper of self-title blog http://doktorkrank.blogspot.com! He started keeping his blog in the summer of last year, but had been an active participant in numerous websites and discussion lists pertaining to music and movies before this.

Doktor Krank's base of operations is Warsaw, Poland - where he's at the forefront of pushing glitch music culture in his country's scene. Thanks to him and his promoter home-skillets, they've recently been succesful in kick-starting the country's scene by bringing in the likes of Daly City Records' Mochipet and and Th'Mole, and are now looking forward to bring in Lazer Sword this autumn!

As mentioned in the previous blogger introduction for Dance Fever 5000, such successful and awesome bloggers are nothing short of eccentric... and seem to all hold the same penchant for travel: Mariusz interests range from independent movies from Asia; books on couterculture, surreal, and sci-fi; and anything involving psychedelic culture. He's traveled extensively in southeast Asia through countries such as Bali, Laos, and Cambodia (which is apparently where he "left his heart").

We're greatly looking forward to the news and reviews he'll be bringing us!

Introducing Glitch.FM Blogging Staff: Shilo Urban a.k.a. Dance Fever 5000!

Glitch.FM is proud (and lucky!) to introduce the newest member to our team: Shilo Urban, a.k.a. Dance Fever 5000 a.k.a. DF5K, author of one of the crunkest blogs in the glitchy blogospheroid: http://dancefever5000.wordpress.com

It takes an interesting character to write an interesting blog, and Shilo is no exception. She's lived the world over - from places like Seattle, New Zealand, Maine, Paris, Austin, and now Los Angeles; has interests ranging from dancing and music to snowboarding (which is barely putting a dent in things) - and has worked a series of eccentric jobs such as being Parisian guide and interpreter, a farmhand for endangered livestock breeds, and being a deckhand on a traditional wooden schooner. She got her start blogging while working for events website CultureMob.com, and has been running DF5K since December 2008 as well as a second international travel and adventure blog on the side.

We think she gives The Dos Equis Guy a serious run for his money.

From time to time DF5K will be helping out the station with reviewing promo music that we receive, doing interviews, and technically writing about anything else that she damn well pleases, because clearly - everything that pours out of her fingers and into the digital ether never fails to be interesting and engaging.
